IN THIS BOX, IN THE DARK…. BY KITTEN

Quincy Jones once wrote “EVERY THING MUST CHANGE”
Believing that.. I can’t stay the same
Breaking this mold, climbing out this box
The wall is high, but I can’t stop
With rope in hand, my feet dug in deep
With every muscles I have, I climb to find relief
So high and so steep, out of breath and getting weak
My mind craving sleep, but this wall I must beat
Getting closer, please, just one peek
I hear a voice below my feet
I’m not alone, I look back just for a peek
To find another climber seeking the same relief
She has extra strength, the kind I still seek
She offers me some of hers, and gives me a push
She tells me to keep going don’t look
I feel my hand touch the top of the box
I look back, but she have stopped
I yell for her to not give up
With hope in my heart, a rope in my hand
I climb back down to give her a hand
You gave me hope, you was willing to help me reach the top
Now that I’m there, I’m coming back
Until we all get to the top, I will never leave you alone
In this box in the dark!
